Law enforcement authorities are seeking to locate a man and a woman who assisted two adolescent girls at a supermarket. After their encounter at the Asda store in Frome on September 5, the girls informed an employee that they had experienced sexual offenses the preceding night. Detective Constable Matthew Morton, from Avon and Somerset Police, stated: “We wish to speak to the pair to establish if they have any information that could be relevant to an ongoing investigation.” A 17-year-old male was apprehended concerning the incident and subsequently released on bail as inquiries proceed. A representative for Avon and Somerset Police clarified that the adolescent girls approached the woman in the female restrooms sometime between 09:30 and 11:30 BST. The girls requested her to summon a staff member, a task she then asked the man to perform. Following this, the two adults departed the supermarket together. DC Morton further commented: “After they left the store, the two girls disclosed to a staff member they had been victims of sexual offences in another part of town overnight.” He continued: “We are keen to talk to the two members of public who helped the girls on that day to establish what information, if any, they may have that is relevant to this criminal investigation. “CCTV images have been found showing the two individuals, which we appreciate are of low quality, but we hope they may jog the pair’s memory.” He mentioned that the girls were receiving access to support services.
