Everton manager Sean Dyche discussed his team’s loss at Old Trafford with Sky Sports, stating: ‘Early in the season, there were too many mistakes and that was the same today. In the first 32 minutes, I thought we looked a good outfit. We looked progressive. We played well and opened them up.’ Dyche expressed his primary frustration regarding the match, explaining, “One mistake led to another mistake and before you know it you are 2-0 down, and then a third one straight after kick-off. That is my biggest gripe. It goes to show if you don’t stay tuned in all of the time, it doesn’t work for you and that was the case today.” He acknowledged that some errors from the season’s beginning had been eliminated, but highlighted the significant challenge posed by “such glaring individual mistakes.” Dyche emphasized the necessity of moving past the defeat swiftly, stating, “This has to get parked quickly.” Looking ahead, Dyche declared, “I don’t expect our team to make so many mistakes again.” He noted that the team is “well versed in this scenario,” which has persisted “for three or four years at this club.” The manager articulated their objective to “break this pattern of work for a breakthrough, drop down, breakthrough, drop down.” Dyche identified the immediate challenge as reacting effectively in their upcoming fixture, concluding, “Every game is a big game, it is true for Everton.”
