A ferry operator has announced the two high-speed vessels designated to serve Jersey starting next spring. DFDS, a Danish firm, disclosed that the Levante Jet and Tarifa Jet – each capable of transporting approximately 700 passengers and over 150 vehicles – will establish connections between the island, St Malo, and Poole. During the peak operating period, services between Jersey and France will run 11 times a week, while the Jersey-Poole route will be available five times weekly. The company is scheduled to release its sailing timetables by Friday. DFDS characterized both ships as “young,” noting the Levante Jet was constructed in 2015 and the Tarifa Jet in 1997. Chris Parker, DFDS’s Jersey route director, stated: “We look forward to introducing these two high-speed crafts to Jersey.” He added, “They are state-of-the-art vessels that will enhance the travel experience but also play a crucial role in supporting local tourism.” For updates, follow BBC Jersey on X and Facebook.
