Midfielder George Evans has rejoined Wrexham’s active roster, providing a boost for the club as it approaches the demanding holiday fixture schedule. The 30-year-old participated in Tuesday’s reserve team match against Salford City, playing for over an hour before being substituted during the 2-1 home loss. Evans had been out of play since early October, when he sustained ankle ligament damage during a 1-0 League One defeat away to Stevenage. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson commented, “That gives us another body going into the Christmas period.” He added, “We’ll have a good week and we’ll be ready for action come next week.” Wrexham acquired Evans from Millwall in September 2023 on an initial two-year agreement. The player subsequently signed an extended contract in July 2024, securing his commitment to the club until 2026. Wrexham is scheduled to compete in five matches between December 21 and January 4. This series of games will commence with a league fixture on Saturday, an away trip to Bristol Rovers, scheduled for a 12:30 GMT kick-off. Parkinson further stated, “We’ve got the squad to cope with that and that’s what football’s all about, and it’s about enjoying it.” He continued, “I think the lads love playing games, and as a manager and staff we enjoy match days. The games come thick and fast, but everyone knows the schedule at the start of the season and we’re ready for each one as they come along.” Post navigation Burnley Condemns Alleged Abuse of Watford Player Tottenham’s Inconsistent Form: A Search for Solutions
