Law enforcement officials have reported that “several people” were transported to the hospital following a collision involving five vehicles on the M74 motorway, situated near Motherwell. Emergency services personnel were dispatched to the scene at junction five, specifically the Raith interchange, at 08:50 on Thursday. Consequently, two northbound lanes were closed to traffic until approximately 11:00. Police Scotland stated that the individuals involved were taken to medical facilities as a precautionary measure. The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that two patients were conveyed to Wishaw General Hospital, and one patient was transported to University Hospital Hairmyres.
