An incident in Sunderland on Wednesday, just before 20:00 GMT, saw a woman sustain injuries following a collision with a police car that was attending an emergency call. The crash took place at the junction of Springwell Road and Durham Road. Following the incident, emergency services were dispatched to the location. Northumbria Police confirmed that a passenger in the other vehicle sustained a “minor injury” to her leg. The force further stated that an investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
