In Tamworth, a collision involving a lorry and two pedestrians resulted in one fatality and one serious injury. Emergency responders were dispatched to the incident site on the A5, in the vicinity of Tamworth Castle, just after 19:00 GMT on Wednesday. The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics provided life support to the man, but he was declared deceased at the scene of the collision. The woman sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries, received treatment, and was subsequently transported to a hospital in Birmingham.
