Man Killed in Heavy Goods Vehicle Incident in Flintshire

In Flintshire, a man has died after being struck by a heavy goods vehicle. The incident occurred in the village of Flint Mountain, Flintshire, on Monday afternoon, leading to the closure of the A5119 Northop Road for several hours. North Wales Police received a report of the collision at approximately 13:00 GMT and attended the location along with other emergency services, including Wales Air Ambulance. Despite all efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Constable Melanie Hughes issued an appeal for any witnesses to the event to come forward. She stated, “We are urging anybody who may have been travelling along Northop Road around the time of the collision to contact us,” adding that officers are interested in hearing from those with dashcam or private CCTV footage.
