Arrest made in connection with fatal stabbing

A 38-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder, following a fatal stabbing that took place last week. John Donaldson, 34, the victim, was assaulted outside a residence situated in the Lealholm Walk area of Eston, near Middlesbrough, at approximately 21:00 GMT on Thursday, November 21. He was transported to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough but passed away a brief period later. Mr. Donaldson’s family has paid tribute to him, referring to him as “a very much loved son, brother, uncle, grandson and nephew.” They also made a plea: “Please allow his family to grieve his loss in these traumatic times.” The man taken into custody is currently being held by police.
