As Celtic establishes a significant lead in the Premiership, attention shifts to the teams competing for the subsequent positions. Recent struggles by Aberdeen have allowed Rangers to narrow the points difference. Rangers currently trail by four points, with an outstanding game. Rangers have now surpassed Aberdeen in the home form standings, notably achieving this by scoring six goals against Kilmarnock. A forward quartet featuring Danilo, Hamza Igamane, and Ianis Hagi demonstrated strong performance on Wednesday. However, given their limited recent playing time, manager Philippe Clement might opt for squad rotation for Sunday’s match, ahead of Tottenham’s visit to Ibrox the following week. Rangers previously scored six goals against Ross County during their last encounter in Glasgow. Nevertheless, this season, only Celtic and Aberdeen have secured full points from matches played at Dingwall, with both teams requiring late goals to do so. Ross County is also seeking to achieve consecutive home victories against Rangers, having defeated them at home for the first time in 25 attempts in April. Rangers have recently faced challenges in their domestic away fixtures, securing only their second away victory of the current season last weekend against St Johnstone, which resulted from an own goal. Across their last six league away matches, they have netted three goals while conceding six. Clement’s objective is to build momentum for what is anticipated to be a compelling competition, aiming to remain close to the league leaders.
