To enable its students to experience the enchantment of Christmas, a school has been converted into a festive wonderland. Pupils at Nafferton Primary School are greeted by Santa positioned on the roof, artificial snow, and enjoy ovens that sing carols during their lunch period. The institution, situated near Driffield in East Yorkshire, has also been adorned externally with wreaths, foliage, and a wooden reindeer accompanied by a sleigh, while internally, each room features lights, bows, and baubles. Nieve, a student at the school, stated: “I’m just in a Christmas place where I want to stay forever.” Myles, another pupil, commented: “Every Christmas, Santa comes to your house and it’s a bit like your house but you’re actually in school.” The school’s dining area has been transformed into a French market square, and the dinner ladies have configured the cookers to perform various carols as meals are prepared. Paul Johnson, the 46-year-old head teacher, remarked: “The school is a home. The children are here for a long time. We want it to be magical for them and if they’re happy, they’ll learn. “Our children are wonderful and we just want to make every day special for them and we’ve got a great team who do that for the children.” Post navigation Secondary School Head Teacher Resigns Amidst Strike Threat and Parent Petition Isle of Man Student Pay Awards Under Review Following Tuition Fee Increase
