Winger Anwar El Ghazi is expected to return from injury for Cardiff City’s Championship fixture at home against Watford on Saturday. The 29-year-old El Ghazi has been sidelined for Cardiff’s previous three matches due to a groin strain. Since joining the Bluebirds on a free transfer in the summer, the former Aston Villa and Everton player has made 13 appearances and scored one goal. Cardiff manager Omer Riza confirmed, “Anwar’s back in training this week, so Anwar will be back in contention to be in the squad this week.” Riza further noted, “I think he’s the only one back in.” Cardiff continues to be without long-term injured players, including midfielder Aaron Ramsey, forward Isaak Davies, and striker Kion Etete. The Welsh club currently sits 20th in the Championship table, holding a two-point advantage over the relegation zone.
