Police Investigate Public Indecency Incidents in York

An inquiry has been initiated following reports of a man who “exposed his buttocks” and spanked himself in the presence of women. North Yorkshire Police stated that both incidents occurred in York on Tuesday and involved an individual described as a white man of large build, approximately 40 years of age. At approximately 18:35 GMT on Emerald Street, a woman reported witnessing a man expose his buttocks in an alleyway leading to Amber Court. He reportedly also directed “inappropriate comments” towards her. A second incident was reported to have taken place on Scarborough Terrace, Bootham, approximately 30 minutes later. Another woman observed a man on his bicycle cycling past her, while exposing his bottom and spanking himself. The suspect, who was wearing a dark top and baggy trousers, subsequently proceeded in the direction of Burton Stone Lane. North Yorkshire Police has requested that anyone who saw the suspect or witnessed similar events contact them.
