A driver has been taken into custody following a collision in Cornwall where a pedestrian suffered serious injuries, according to police. Devon and Cornwall Police stated they were summoned to the scene at School Hill in Padstow at approximately 20:30 GMT on Saturday. The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, incurred a serious leg injury and was transported to a hospital. The police force reported that a 71-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and driving whilst unfit through drink. The woman has since been released on bail, and investigations are continuing. The force has appealed to any individuals who witnessed the incident, which involved a grey Honda Jazz, to contact them.
