Burnley manager Scott Parker has stated his team is prepared for December’s demanding schedule, which he believes will be crucial in shaping the remainder of the season. Parker’s side is poised to claim the top spot in the Championship with a victory over Middlesbrough on Friday. The team, currently challenging for the title, is aiming for its fifth consecutive win. A triumph against Middlesbrough at Turf Moor on Friday [20:00 GMT] would see them ascend to the top of the Championship standings. Before the year concludes, The Clarets are scheduled to play six matches, including two encounters with the Teessiders, as well as games against Derby, Norwich, Watford, and title rivals Sheffield United. “This period is a very busy one for every team,” Parker informed BBC Radio Lancashire. “There’s some tough games ahead of us but we’re in a good place at the moment and we’re looking forward to it.” He added, “The games come so thick and fast and when you come out of Christmas into New Year, you get a clearer idea of where things are and where you sit.” Parker also expressed his anticipation for tonight’s match against his former England team-mate Michael Carrick, noting that his squad is in excellent condition ahead of the fixture. Regarding his team, which has secured 10 wins this season to date, Parker commented, “There’s been some real improvement in the areas we needed.” He further stated, “I still don’t think we’re anywhere near where we need to be but over the last few weeks there’s been a real drive to produce more and we’ve had some excellent results.” Post navigation Sale Sharks Appoint Former Scotland Wing McGuigan as Defence Coach Aston Villa U21s Set Penalty Shootout Record in Vertu Trophy Victory Over Blackpool
