An individual operating an electric bicycle has died following a collision involving a BMW. Lancashire Police reported that the incident, which occurred between a white BMW 1 series and an off-road electric bike, took place outside the Coal Clough pub in Burnley at approximately 23:30 GMT on Wednesday. The 35-year-old man riding the electric bike sustained severe injuries and subsequently passed away in the hospital. A 34-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently being held in custody. Sgt Rebecca Price stated: “As we investigate the collision, we are appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or the actions of either of the vehicles beforehand to come forward.” She further appealed: “I am also appealing for anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist us to please get in touch.”
