Postal deliveries originating from the Isle of Man destined for Canada have been halted as a result of a widespread strike involving Canadian postal employees. This industrial action, initiated by members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers concerning a pay dispute, commenced in mid-November. The Isle of Man Post Office stated that it imposed this temporary suspension after receiving notification of the industrial action from Post Canada. The public has been advised that any mail items dispatched to Canada will be sent back to their originators. A spokesperson for the Post Office indicated that additional information regarding the situation would be made available on the organization’s official website. The industrial action involves more than 50,000 Canadian postal workers, who are seeking a wage increase and the option to work weekends for overtime compensation. This action precedes the peak holiday season. Post navigation NI Water Staff Suspend Strike Following Pay Offer Londonderry Traders Emphasize New Christmas Market’s Contribution to Business Prosperity
