Custodial sentences have been handed down to four individuals in relation to the robbery and fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old. Cameron Bailey sustained a fatal stab wound after he and a friend were confronted by a group on May 7, 2023, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. At Reading Crown Court, three of the defendants were found guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery, while a fourth received a prison sentence for assisting an offender. An additional individual, 18-year-old Jayden Gubetini, from Coe Spur in Slough, Berkshire, is slated for sentencing next month on a murder charge. Thames Valley Police issued a statement, asserting: “Violence and knife crime will never be tolerated in the Thames Valley and the offenders now have a long time in custody to reflect on their actions that night.” Mr. Bailey, accompanied by a friend, had journeyed to High Wycombe from the Brighton area of West Sussex. Testimony presented at Reading Crown Court indicated that Gubetini initially robbed both victims of drugs on Saturday, May 6. On the subsequent day, Gubetini, accompanied by Scott Cordice, Aaran Pattinson, and Philip Solomon, went back to High Wycombe, where they carried out a robbery against Mr. Bailey and his friend on Easton Street. Bailey suffered a fatal stab wound, and his friend sustained injuries. Gubetini subsequently fled to the Netherlands but was extradited back to the UK in July of the previous year. Sentencing for four men took place on Thursday at Reading Crown Court: Gubetini was convicted of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and wounding with intent. His sentencing was scheduled for December 10.
