The relatives of a father of three, who passed away after being discovered with severe injuries on a street in Cardiff, have described him as “generous, caring and thoughtful.” James Brogan, 43, was located on Coleford Drive in St Mellons at approximately 16:00 GMT on November 12. A 20-year-old man from the Trowbridge area of the city made a court appearance on Tuesday, where he entered pleas of not guilty to charges of murder and possession of a bladed article. A trial date has been established for May 19. In a statement issued by Mr. Brogan’s family, they conveyed: “He was a deeply loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and the very proud father of three children.” They continued: “James was not perfect and had his faults, as we all do, but if you needed his help he would help you without hesitation and expect nothing in return.” “To us he was generous, caring, thoughtful and a comedian – he loved to make you smile and laugh.”
