Dundee United has failed to secure a win in their last three league matches against Kilmarnock, recording one draw and two defeats. Their previous longer winless run against Killie in the top flight occurred in August 2006, extending to six games. Should Kilmarnock secure another victory, they would achieve consecutive top-flight away wins at Dundee United, a feat last accomplished in August 2002, when they recorded four such wins in a row. This follows their 3-0 win in May 2023. Dundee United has secured victories in their two most recent home league fixtures without conceding any goals. The Tangerines’ last instance of winning three consecutive home matches in the Scottish Premiership was in October 2021. Furthermore, their last streak of three successive home wins accompanied by a clean sheet in each match dates back to November 2014. In their most recent outing, Kilmarnock experienced a 6-0 loss to Rangers. This result marks their heaviest defeat in the top flight since they were defeated by an identical scoreline against Celtic in April 2012. Since the commencement of the previous season, all five of Kilmarnock’s league encounters against newly-promoted teams have concluded in draws, comprising four matches against Dundee in the 2023-24 season and one against Dundee United this current term. Furthermore, Killie has not secured a victory in their last five Scottish Premiership away games when playing against promoted clubs (three draws, two losses), with their last such win being a 1-0 triumph at St Mirren in March 2019.
