Alistair Johnston Longlisted for Best Fifa Men’s XI

Celtic’s right-back, Alistair Johnston, has been named on the preliminary list for the Men’s XI at the 2024 Fifa Best Awards. The 26-year-old Johnston secured both the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup titles with Celtic during the previous season. He also contributed to Canada’s fourth-place finish in their inaugural Copa America appearance. Johnston, who previously played for Montreal FC and joined the Parkhead club in 2022, has continued to perform strongly this season, having registered four goals and five assists across 19 matches.
