Daniel Farke, the head coach of Leeds United, has commended his wingers following a period of squad rotation. Farke also previewed the upcoming match against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. The club’s recent 3-0 home win against Luton on Wednesday night marked their fourth victory in the past five league matches, propelling Farke’s team to the top of the Championship standings. This success presents Farke with a challenging selection dilemma: whether to retain Wilfried Gnonto and Manor Solomon in the starting lineup or introduce Daniel James, who has demonstrated strong form recently, in place of one of them. Farke conveyed to BBC Radio Leeds, prior to the team’s Saturday fixture against Blackburn Rovers, that his players “are just 100 percent happy when I play them each and every second.” He further explained the necessity of rotation, stating, “It’s also normal that when you have such a period – three games within six days – and also keeping in mind you have 46 matches a year, two cup competitions, international games – you can’t play each and every minute.” He concluded by commending his squad: “So, I have to praise my lads because they all accept that.” The wingers under Farke’s management have all made significant contributions recently. James, for instance, has registered three assists and one goal in his last two appearances, while both Gnonto and Solomon found the net during the 4-3 stoppage-time victory over Swansea City on Sunday. The Leeds manager additionally noted that his rotation strategy was also driven by tactical considerations. He elaborated on this, stating, “We want to be flexible and not be that predictable for our opponents.” Farke continued, “The players know exactly what to they have to do if we change it and so we don’t want to play 46 games with more or less the same structure with the same players in the same position because, first, it becomes predictable, and also a bit boring.” Post navigation Fear and Gibson Secure Second Season Gold Truro City’s Unbeaten Streak Concludes with Loss to Boreham Wood
