A male individual has faced court proceedings after being charged in connection with the death of a man discovered deceased on a Lincolnshire street. According to police statements, Vadims Zmicerevskis, aged 45, passed away following an incident that occurred on Monday at the intersection of Green Lane and St Thomas’ Road in Spalding. Viktors Zeglovs, 33 years old and without a fixed address, was formally charged with the murder of Mr Zmicerevskis during his court appearance at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court. During the proceedings, no plea was submitted, and Mr Zeglovs was ordered to remain in custody until his scheduled appearance at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday. Lincolnshire Police reported that a 47-year-old man, previously apprehended on suspicion of affray, has been released on bail as investigations continue. The police force further stated that the three individuals are thought to have been acquainted, and detectives are not seeking any additional suspects in relation to the death. Investigators are requesting information and any relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the vicinity. Inspector Matt Dickinson commented: “Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the scene within minutes of receiving the call to the force control room. “We initiated CPR but very sadly, Mr Zmicerevskis was pronounced dead shortly after emergency crews arrived.”
