An ongoing murder investigation has led to the identification of a second suspect. Cumali Turhan, aged 45, vanished after departing a pub situated on Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, just after midnight on November 19. Essex Police are seeking Ceyhan Dinler, 38, a Chelmsford resident, for questioning regarding Mr. Turhan’s disappearance. Detective Chief Inspector Louise Metcalfe stated: “This is an extremely challenging investigation, with a missing man at its heart, we are determined to get answers for his family and bring those responsible to justice.” According to police, Mr. Dinler departed the country through London Stansted Airport on the identical day Mr. Turhan was last known to have communicated with anyone. Essex Police reported the discovery of substantial evidence on Duke Street, Chelmsford, leading detectives to conclude that Mr. Turhan is deceased and his remains were placed in a bin. Ciprian Ilie, 44, who has no fixed address, faces charges of assisting an offender and obstructing the decent and lawful burial of a body. His court appearance is scheduled for December. Detective Chief Inspector Metcalfe further commented: “It is more than two weeks since Cumali’s disappearance and teams of officers from across Essex Police are working hard to understand what has happened to him.” Essex Police has appealed to anyone possessing additional information to assist their inquiries by coming forward.
