Defending champions Brisbane Heat commenced their Men’s Big Bash League season with a comfortable eight-wicket victory against Melbourne Stars, largely due to an unbeaten 72 from Jimmy Peirson. Peirson’s innings, comprising 56 deliveries, featured two sixes and five fours.
