Man arrested on suspicion of murder following woman’s death in Bolton

A murder investigation has been initiated after a woman was discovered deceased at a residence in Greater Manchester. Police responded to Furness Square in Bolton on Tuesday morning following reports expressing concern for the woman’s welfare. The 59-year-old was pronounced dead upon their arrival. Greater Manchester Police announced that a 42-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of murder. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Turner commented: “The thoughts of the entire investigation team remain with the victim’s family at this time.” He further stated, “We are committed to getting answers for them and establishing what occurred.”
