Essex Police reported that the incident occurred in Middleborough, Colchester, on Wednesday at 21:35 GMT. Officers located the injured man, whose coat was reportedly stolen, and transported him to the hospital. Police confirmed that a 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery and subsequently taken into custody for questioning. Detective Inspector Tim Coyles stated that “a police presence would remain in North Station Road while inquiries continued.” The authorities requested that any witnesses or individuals possessing CCTV footage contact the police.
