British number one Jack Draper, who reached 15th in the world rankings in October, is set to compete alongside two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz at the Queen’s tournament in 2025. Draper, aged 22, secured his initial two ATP titles during 2024. Additionally, he advanced to the US Open semi-finals and attained a personal best world ranking of 15. World number three Alcaraz claimed the Queen’s Club title during his first appearance at the event in 2023. However, he was defeated by Draper in the second round in the previous year’s competition. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old Spanish player proceeded to win the Wimbledon title following his participation at Queen’s on both occasions. Draper commented: “Playing at Queen’s, in front of the British crowd – there’s nothing like it. I used to watch this tournament every summer as a kid and made my Tour debut here, so it holds a lot of special memories for me.” He added: “This year has been amazing in a lot of ways – but next season I’m excited to build on the success of this year.” The men’s tournament is scheduled to occur from 16-22 June. American Tommy Paul defeated Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the final of the previous year’s event. Alcaraz stated: “Lifting the title two years ago is what gave me the belief to go on and win Wimbledon for the first time, so it always means a lot to compete there.” He continued: “I love playing in front of the fans in London and I hope I can have another successful summer in the UK.” Furthermore, Queen’s is set to host a women’s tournament in 2025, marking its return for the first time in over 50 years. Carlos Alcaraz secured the Queen’s title during his inaugural appearance at the event in 2023. Sandi Toksvig will be accompanied by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi, and Alan Davies. Opportunities are available to sing along to Queen, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, and other artists. Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are returning for the celebrations at Longleat Safari Park.
