An individual has been formally accused of causing the death of a father-of-two, Vincent Lawrence, who died after being struck from his motorbike by a car on Merseyside. Mr Lawrence, also known as Vinny, lost his life on 19 July 2023 on Northern Perimeter Road in Netherton. According to police, an orange Honda motorbike Mr Lawrence was operating was hit by a red Vauxhall Astra around 23:10 GMT. Kieran Williams, 24, faces charges of causing Mr Lawrence’s death through dangerous driving and driving while impaired by drugs. Mr Williams, whose address is Waterside in Netherton, was scheduled for an initial court appearance at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, from which the matter is expected to be transferred to Liverpool Crown Court. Initially, two men were apprehended in connection with the collision, but one was subsequently released without charge. Following his death, Mr Lawrence’s family released a brief statement of remembrance. They characterized the 48-year-old as “tragically taken too soon” and stated he was “sadly missed by his, father, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and his two beautiful sons”. Their message concluded, “Love you forever.” Merseyside Police verified that Williams received a court summons via postal requisition.
