Firefighters have confirmed that a lorry fire, which resulted in audible explosions across a Devon town, has been put out. According to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, three fire engines were dispatched to the incident on the periphery of Holsworthy around 07:51 GMT on Sunday. The service reported that the vehicle was discovered fully ablaze by one crew from Holsworthy and two from Bude, with explosions “could be heard throughout town”. Crews managed to bring the fire under control and stop its spread by deploying two jets, four breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, and ladders for access, the service stated.
