An upcoming event aims to motivate employers to recruit individuals with disabilities. This business breakfast, taking place at Bridlington Town Football Club, is organized by Project DANDI. Project DANDI is a group dedicated to diversity and inclusion, providing support to people with special needs and disabilities residing in the town and its surrounding areas. Attendees will receive details on workplace assistance programs, such as Access to Work, and hear from disability employment advisors representing the Department of Work and Pensions. The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, from 08:30 GMT until 10:00. Project DANDI also operates a volunteering and work-based learning program at the football club. This initiative provides adults with special needs and disabilities with practical work experience. Through this program, volunteers acquire various essential workplace skills, participating in activities such as serving beverages, assisting with food preparation, and organizing events. The organizers of the project express their aspiration to collaborate with and offer assistance to local businesses.
