Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister discussed the team’s recent win with BBC Sport. He stated, “We spoke about it in the dressing room. We are not happy with the fact we conceded three goals, that is very clear, but we scored six and that’s not very easy.” Mac Allister described Tottenham as a strong team that presses high and plays aggressively, noting that Liverpool’s strategy involved playing the ball in behind their defense and converting scoring opportunities. Despite acknowledging aspects that require refinement, Mac Allister expressed satisfaction with the outcome, saying, “We are happy with the result. There are many things to improve but we are happy to get the three points.” Regarding the performance of his teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, Mac Allister offered praise: “Dom is amazing. He can do everything and on and off the ball he is really good. He played a really good game, the same with the attackers. We are in a really good moment.” Addressing the recent trend of conceding more goals, Mac Allister explained, “At the back, we have to play simple and get the ball to them [the attackers]. We worked on this the whole week and we try to improve every single day.” He acknowledged the necessity to concede less, adding, “We know we have to concede less. We are not happy with conceding three today, but it is what it is. We play against really good teams. Maybe we have to defend better, but also we know we are dangerous when we attack.”
