A collection of knitted nativity figures, including Mary, Joseph, a donkey, and the angel Gabriel, has been presenting commuters with “signs of the Christmas story” throughout December. These miniature touring figures made stops at several stations within London’s rail network, chosen for their holy-sounding names, as part of Advent observations. Their travels have extended both within the nation and abroad since Father Chrichton Limbert, who serves as the vicar of Christ Church, Southgate, acquired the characters on eBay in 2015. In the current year, they have already made appearances at Angel, Marylebone, and Gospel Oak, aiming to disseminate the Christmas message.
