A family residing in Kent has transformed their house into a Christmas tourist attraction, adorned with thousands of lights and a Disney theme. Lavinia Hedges stated that her family has been orchestrating this festive spectacle at their Gillingham home for the past four years. “We are going for a classic Disney Christmas this year,” she informed the BBC. This seasonal attraction also generates donations for My Shining Star, a local children’s cancer charity. Over the four years the Hedges family has showcased their display, they have accumulated more than £35,000 for the charity, according to Ms Hedges. “They are a local charity around the corner from us and they do fantastic work,” she remarked. Ms Hedges, who was responsible for the planning and organization of the display, characterized the community’s support as “amazing,” mentioning that a local company assisted by installing lights at the property’s highest points. “People come from all over Kent to see it and to just keep getting those memories,” she added.
