The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is hosting its annual memorial service this weekend for parents who have endured the loss of a baby. This service is intended for individuals who have experienced a baby’s death during any phase of pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy. Carole Sadler, a specialist bereavement midwife at the trust, stated, “For many families it’s their way of honouring their still very much-loved, and very much-missed, babies.” Scheduled for Sunday at St Patrick’s RC Church, the service welcomes families of all faiths and backgrounds. Participants will have the opportunity to light a candle in remembrance of their baby and to affix personal messages to “memory trees.” Earlier this month, similar memorial services for bereaved parents were conducted in Walsall and Coventry, aligning with Baby Loss Awareness Week, which took place from October 9-15. The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s chaplaincy team will host Sunday’s event, supported by bereavement midwives and additional hospital personnel. Reverend Joe Fielder, the trust’s lead chaplain, commented, “Together we hope we can comfort people and honour their little ones.” Post navigation Halloween Display Raises Funds in Friend’s Memory Family of Boy with Terminal Illness to Distribute Gifts at Hospital
