Arson charges have been brought against two individuals subsequent to a fire at a residential building in Cheshire. According to Cheshire Police, a 31-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, both residents of Nantwich, face accusations of arson and perverting the course of justice. They both made an appearance at Chester Magistrates’ Court, where a decision was made to remand them in custody. Their next court date is scheduled for 13 January at the city’s crown court. Their arrest occurred after the blaze erupted on Saturday morning at the apartment complex situated on Laurel Place within the Kingsbourne Estate. The fire service reported that the conflagration was confined to a single apartment; however, several residents underwent assessment for minor smoke inhalation, and paramedics provided treatment to one injured person.
