The husband of a woman who died after a vehicle struck her while she was walking on a dual carriageway has offered a tribute. Linda Hesford, aged 24 and residing in Poole, succumbed to her injuries on December 4, following the collision on the A35 Upton bypass, situated close to Poole, Dorset, at approximately 20:10 GMT. Authorities reported that she had been proceeding in an eastbound direction, from Upton towards the Shell garage. Mr. Hesford characterized his wife as an “incredible” stepmother and a “loving wife… with a heart so big and a soul so beautiful”. He added, “Linda was angelic and positively affected all who knew her… we were blessed to be in her presence.” He further stated, “I found my true love in Linda and she was my absolute.” Through a statement issued by Dorset Police, Mr. Hesford extended his gratitude to the emergency services, acknowledging that they “did all they could”. Dorset Police announced that a comprehensive investigation is underway to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding the collision, and they appealed to witnesses and any motorists possessing dashcam footage to present themselves.
