Gwen Watton: Salisbury’s First Female Bus Driver, Daughters Seek Recognition

Gwen Watton holds the distinction of being Salisbury’s inaugural female bus driver. Her initial application was refused, but her determination led her to obtain her Public Service Drivers Licence in 1972. She subsequently drove buses throughout the South West region and to London.
