A man passed away on Friday after being struck by a vehicle in Dungannon, County Tyrone. Edmund Hughes was hit on John Street shortly after 18:30 GMT. He was transported to a hospital but subsequently died from the injuries he sustained. The road was closed following the incident but has since reopened. Independent councillor for Dungannon, Barry Monteith, informed BBC News NI that “everyone is shocked and saddened” by the news.
