Cardiff City is awaiting information regarding the extent of midfielder David Turnbull’s hamstring injury. Turnbull was substituted during the 2-2 Championship match against Coventry City on Saturday. Cardiff interim manager Omer Riza stated, “We think he might have tweaked his hamstring. Hopefully it’s not too serious, but we have to get it checked.” Riza added, “He’ll have a scan, but it didn’t look too good.” The absence of Turnbull would represent a setback for Cardiff. The 25-year-old Scottish player has been a regular fixture in the team under Riza, after experiencing limited playing time with former boss Erol Bulut. Riza commented on Turnbull, saying, “He’s been brilliant,” and “I’ve been really happy with his performances.”
