Patrick Brown’s amateur career concluded with a record of 19 victories and four defeats. British Olympian Patrick Brown has officially inked a deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. The 25-year-old, who hails from Manchester, is scheduled to make his professional debut as a cruiserweight in 2025. Brown’s training will be overseen by Jamie Moore, working alongside Matchroom stablemate Jack Catterall. The two-time British champion was eliminated in the first round at this summer’s Paris Olympics. Commenting on his decision, Brown stated: “Since meeting with Eddie for the first time, it was clear that our visions aligned.” He added, “Matchroom were always my first choice, but you have to weigh up all of your options.” Brown further explained, “After really exciting discussions about the future, it was a no-brainer to go with them.” Expressing his ambitions, he said, “There’s some huge fights to be made and my dreams have always been to sell out arenas, to bring back the Ricky Hatton days in Manchester.” Brown concluded, “That’s what always gets me going, to have some good wars and good boxing fights. Watch this space – I’ll be coming for it all.” Eddie Hearn shared his enthusiasm for the signing, remarking: “This is a signing that I’m incredibly excited about.” Hearn conveyed Matchroom’s belief in Brown’s potential, stating, “All of us at Matchroom truly believe that Pat Brown has it in him to become a star of British boxing.” He also expressed confidence in Brown’s ability to draw crowds: “I’m confident that he can bring back the massive nights to Manchester. He’s an incredibly popular young man and has the ability to sell out arenas in Manchester and beyond in years to come.”
