A two-vehicle collision on the A75 near Gretna resulted in two men sustaining serious injuries and three additional individuals being transported to a medical facility. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the incident, involving a black Peugeot 3008 and a white Ford Transit van, at approximately 11:10 on Monday. Police officials reported that two men, aged 83 and 77, were admitted to hospital with serious injuries. They further indicated that three other men, aged 77, 60, and 31, were also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. The road was closed for about nine hours following the crash. Sgt Colin Ramage stated: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.” He added: “We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.” The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed it had sent a “number of resources” to the location and that five people had been conveyed to hospital.
