Pedestrian Hospitalized After A38 Collision Involving HGV

A pedestrian was transported to the hospital after being involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle. The individual’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. Devon and Cornwall Police reported that the incident occurred on the A38, near Ashburton, Devon, at approximately 13:45 GMT. Following the crash, the road was closed to traffic in both directions before being reopened by National Highways around 16:35. A spokesperson for National Highways cautioned motorists about “heavy congestion with delays of 30 minutes expected.”
