Leeds manager Daniel Farke spoke to BBC Radio Leeds following his team’s 4-0 victory over Oxford, a result that kept them in contention at the top of the Championship. Farke remarked on the win, stating: “It was a perfect way to start the festive days. Obviously an important win, impressive scoreline and impressive performance. Our aim was to win this game but especially during such a busy period and on a difficult day I’m quite delighted with it.” “We could have scored a few more goals in the first half and in the second half we had chances to score perhaps a couple more. But overall, the most important thing for us was to return to the dressing room with the clean sheet and three important points. It was good for the goal difference.” “The performance was excellent and to create the chances against such a deep sitting block and to score the goals was quite impressive. Again four different goalscorers and all the offensive players chipped in with assists and goals, so it’s good for the confidence.” Regarding Brenden Aaronson, Farke added: “Brenden Aaronson could sometimes be a bit more tidy but he is still a young lad and his numbers are quite good. He scores goals and he assists. Sometimes he has the tendency to put the ball over the crossbar but it was a really well-taken goal. That ice cool finish will be good for his confidence.” Post navigation Gossip: Everton Reportedly Eyeing Lamptey for Free Transfer Crystal Palace Reportedly Planning January Bid for Sunderland’s Chris Rigg
