A man has been admitted to the hospital with injuries classified as life-threatening after being struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was hit by a Ford Focus on Rowland Road in Scunthorpe at approximately 05:15 GMT on Saturday. Humberside Police reported that a 59-year-old man was apprehended at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He currently remains in police custody. The force is appealing to anyone who possesses information or dashcam footage related to the incident to contact them.
