Manchester Derby Confirmed for Women’s League Cup Quarter-Finals

Manchester City has secured the Women’s League Cup title four times. Manchester United is set to welcome their rivals, Manchester City, in what is considered the most prominent fixture of the Women’s League Cup quarter-finals. The victor of this Manchester derby will advance to face either current title holders Arsenal or Brighton in the semi-finals. In another quarter-final pairing, Tottenham has been drawn to play West Ham at home, with the winner progressing to meet either Chelsea or Durham in the next round. These quarter-final matches are scheduled for 22 and 23 January 2025. The semi-final encounters will then be contested on 5 and 6 February. The championship final is slated for 15 March at Derby County’s Pride Park and will be broadcast live by the BBC. In the previous year’s final event, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 following extra time.
