Ruben Amorim has been appointed as the newest manager entrusted with revitalizing Manchester United’s performance on the field. The club secured the 39-year-old and his team from the Portuguese club Sporting for a fee of £11m. This appointment marks him as the sixth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson concluded his distinguished 26-year tenure with his retirement in 2013. Following an initial draw at Ipswich and a subsequent victory against Bodo/Glimt in his first two matches, Amorim’s team is scheduled to play Everton at home on Sunday at 13:30 GMT. During an appearance on Football Focus, BBC Sport presenter Mark Chapman interviewed the Portuguese manager. Chapman’s initial query concerned whether Amorim had already established a connection with the Manchester United supporters. Amorim stated, “Yes for sure, I feel that.” He elaborated, “Maybe because I’m a little bit of an emotional person. I can transmit that, even in interviews, I think. Maybe because I am different from the last coach and this can bring a different connection with the next guy.” He continued, “I believe that I am the right guy. People always believe the next guy is the right guy. We always have this feeling.” Amorim further emphasized, “To maintain this feeling, we have to play better and win games and be really honest with the supporters. If you are honest and direct with the supporters – maybe you don’t always say the popular thing – you can create a better connection.” Post navigation Cardiff Manager Riza Indicates Ramsey’s Return from Injury Is Far Off Football Transfer Rumours: Liverpool Targeting Joao Pedro, Rashford Valuation, and Davies Doubts
