A man in his 50s has passed away after being hit by a car as he was crossing a road. Hertfordshire Police stated that the incident took place on St Albans Road, Hemel Hempstead, at approximately 23:15 GMT on Friday. Another pedestrian was also injured and taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. A 22-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with this event. Authorities reported that a blue Renault Megane struck the two pedestrians while it was traveling south-west on St Albans Road. Officers have requested that any witnesses come forward and make contact.
