A road in Devon experienced closure on Sunday following an incident where a vehicle departed the carriageway and collided with a sign, according to police reports. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed their dispatch to the A38, situated at the base of Haldon Hill, at approximately 15:40 GMT. The two occupants of the car were safely extricated and subsequently transported to a hospital, police stated. The force further communicated, “Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.” National Highways initiated the closure of the affected road section, which is also identified as the Devon Expressway. Police indicated that National Highways was in the process of gradually removing the restrictions, “one lane at a time.”
