A political party in Jersey has announced its dissolution, stating the decision was made “with regret.” Members of The Jersey Alliance submitted a request to the Royal Court on Wednesday to formally dissolve the political party. The Jersey Alliance indicated that despite this “setback,” many of its members remain “committed” to contributing to the island’s future. It also mentioned that former members might choose to participate in the 2026 elections, either as independent candidates or within a new political entity. Chair Gregory Guida commented: “It is with regret that we announce the closure of what has been one of the few political parties ever formed in Jersey.” He continued: “In keeping with our name, The Jersey Alliance was intended to be a dynamic assembly of individuals proven in their effectiveness, driven by altruism, and capable of collective action.” Guida added: “Although the electorate rejected our model with The Jersey Alliance, our group comprises highly capable individuals, many of whom are already making plans for the 2026 elections.” Post navigation Alderney Seeks Prime Minister’s Support for WW2 Recognition Potential Civil Service Job Reductions Linked to Labour’s Savings Drive
